Rotator Cuff
The Rotator Cuff is a number a tendons and muscles that hold the ball of the shoulder joint together.
Symptoms of a Rotator Cuff injury are:
Difficulty lifting the arm, rotating, such as lifting hand behind the back
Pain that travels down the outside of the arm
Weakness causing it to be difficult to do simple things like get dressed or reaching for something
Causes of Rotator Cuff injury is an activity that requires repetitive movement in sports or work e.g:
Throwing a ball
Overhead lifting
Or it can be caused by general deterioration affecting older people or smokers.
